Between them, Sue and Scott have visited 54 countries — 36 of them together. They're both committed to adventure travel and finding experiences that go well off the beaten path. Sue is a licensed social worker with a high EQ who understands that different people need different things, and she's quick to respond if anything feels off. (It never hurts to have a well-traveled mental health professional on your team.) Scott is a business owner, mountaineer, rock climber, and endurance athlete with a sharp eye for detail and a quick wit. Together they know how to pivot on a dime, create genuinely memorable moments, and supportively push all kinds of people to try things just beyond their comfort zone — all while smiling the whole way through.

Moderately fit. Expect 5–8 miles of walking per day across varied terrain and activities. You don't need to be an athlete — but you should be comfortable on your feet for a full day. All fitness levels have had a blast.

Everything during the race — accommodation, breakfast and dinner daily, all activities, and all in-country transportation. International flights are not included.

Each WISHSTAR event runs with 5–7 teams of 2 — small enough to be intimate and personal, large enough for real competition and great nightly energy.

It's genuinely both. Teams compete on daily challenges for points, and there's a real winner — but the nightly storytelling, shared meals, and curated experiences make it deeply connective too.
